It's Honey Harvesting Season! Shop Our Little Farm Stand

It's been an exciting year in the apiary!  Both of the swarms I captured from trees overwintered beautifully, and I was able to split them into SIX more hives by late spring!

I joked with friends that however sticky you think it is to harvest and process 180lbs of honey, I promise you - it's stickier.   After the honey was bottled, the wax had been processed, and the propolis had been tinctured, the floors and furniture all needed a thorough scrubbing before campers returned.

Last week, the kids attending Tea & Fairy Garden Inspirations From Around the World, were delighted to spoon freshly harvested honey into the most bitter tea we've tried so far.  (Strait Stinging Nettle from Norway is not for the faint of heart)

If you're local and want to stock up on raw honey containing tiny bits all the pollen and resins collected from plants in your hood, now is your chance.

And thanks for your support! It helps fund all the learning adventures I like to offer to our neighborhood kids.
